Undertaking a rebranding project in a foreign country or language can pose a fascinating challenge for any seasoned designer. In the case of our client, Lottomatica, who hails from Italy, my former employer Steelman Partners was tasked with rebranding their existing local casinos. Our initial objective was to strategically revamp the interiors of these dated establishments, imbuing them with a modern and sophisticated flair that would distinguish them from their competitors. Understanding the diverse range of clientele that these venues catered to, we crafted a cohesive rebranding program that enveloped every aspect of the experience, from the hostess stands to the restrooms. Our aim was to create a welcoming atmosphere that reflected the caliber of service that Lottomatica aspired to deliver to both existing and future patrons. The moniker “Fortuna SI” encapsulates the essence of our vision, with the name evoking the idea of good fortune that awaits all who enter these revitalized establishments.
